Cedar Tables

Commissioned by Forgan Arts Centre, a set of 4 Outdoor Tables.

A cedar tree came down at the arts centre and was planked by a mobile sawmill. They wanted me to make some tables trying to minimise offcuts and use as much of the wood as possible.

 

I've kept edges waney, inlayed over splits and cracks and left edges rough cut so that the wood tells its history

Mortised and tenoned, linseed oil.
